Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire at a single-wide mobile home in Burton on Wednesday.
Firefighters were sent to the 100 block of Bon Aire Circle about 5:45 p.m. and found smoldering fires inside the home, said Dan Byrne, a spokesman for the Burton Fire District. They extinguished the fires about 15 minutes later.
The home is an occupied residence, but nobody was there when firefighters arrived, Byrne said.
There was a smoke detector, but it was not working, he said.
