Three men were arrested Wednesday on charges of attacking a 17-year-old student Tuesday at Bluffton High School, according to police.
The teen was taken to a local medical center by a relative for treatment of minor cuts and scrapes .
The three suspects, all from Bluffton, are Al'Jordan Malone Mitchell, 17; Jovian Jovante Jones, 18; and Dontay Love Johnson, 18. None of the three attends the school, according to a Bluffton Police Department news release.
The suspects are in the Beaufort County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing on charges of felony assault and battery by a mob and misdemeanor disturbing schools, said Capt. Bryan Norberg, Police Department spokesman.

The student was assaulted by the men at about 2:30 p.m. near the school's bus loading area. Police initially believed four men were involved in the attack, but later determined only three were, the release said.
Investigators have not determined why the student was attacked.
