Bluffton student attacked at school, police say

A Bluffton High School student was assaulted by four people Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. near the school's bus loading area, police say.

Investigators believe the attackers were not students at the school, said Capt. Bryan Norberg, Bluffton police spokesman.

Norberg said investigators have yet to determine why the student was attacked.

The student had minor injuries and was taken by a relative to the hospital, according to the release.

Anyone with information on the assault is asked to call the Bluffton Police Department Tip Line at 843-706-4560 or Investigator Claudia Hebda at 843-706-4572.
