A fight in the parking lot of Tabby Walk Apartments on Mathews Drive on Hilton Head Island led to five arrests, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.
Deputies arrived soon after midnight Friday after a resident reported the brawl. Each person involved gave a different account of what happened, but the caller had videotaped the incident. The deputies used the footage to make the arrests, according to the report.
A man and a woman were arguing in the parking lot when they were attacked by three women and a man, the report said. The four accused of attacking the couple, plus the woman in the original argument, were charged with assault and battery in the third degree, a misdemeanor. One of the five also was charged with public disorderly conduct for swearing at the deputies.
All were released from jail after posting bond, according to the county jail log.
