3 charged in Bluffton drug raid

Members of the Beaufort/Jasper Multi Agency Drug Task Force charged three people and seized drugs, a gun stolen from Savannah and more than $11,000 in a raid in Bluffton on Monday.

The raid was part of a months-long investigation near Martha Brown Circle, according to a news release Tuesday from the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Matthew Frazier, 29, of Bluffton was arrested on multiple charges of sale and distribution of marijuana within a half mile of a school, trafficking cocaine, intent to distribute cocaine and controlled substances with a half mile of a school, and possession of a stolen firearm.

Kenneth Lamonte Johnson, 26, of Bluffton was charged with probation violation.

Carlos Alexander Williams, 31, of Bluffton was charged with simple possession of marijuana and fleeing to evade arrest.

The task force seized 29 grams of powder cocaine, 7 grams of crack cocaine, 75 tablets of controlled substances, 8 grams of marijuana, a 9 mm handgun and $11,431, the release said.
