The public is invited to review textbooks and instructional materials that have been proposed for use in South Carolina's public schools. The materials will be recommended to the State Board of Education for adoption Dec. 8. Materials will be on display through Nov. 7 at colleges and universities throughout the state, including the University of South Carolina Beaufort's Hilton Head Gateway Campus on U.S. 278 near Hardeeville. Evaluation forms for citizens' comments are available at each site, and state board members will review the comments before final decisions are made. Materials for these subjects are up for review: computer applications, gerontology, emergency medical services, integrated business applications, and medical terminology.
