The 26th Honors Cup, a Ryder Cup-style event pitting area pros against amateurs, was washed out by Monday's storms and will be rescheduled.
Amateur team captain Bob Collar and pro captain Nathan Broyles said the event, held at The Golf Club at Indigo Run, will be played in November or December, after the club has overseeded its greens.
Twenty-four golfers compete in the Honors Cup -- 12 men on each team based on points earned from earlier tournaments. The amateurs have claimed the past two cups and won the first Honors Cup in 1984. But the pros have otherwise dominated.
If team members cannot compete on the rescheduled date, the captains will pick their replacements.
