Adding 'ears' to the bridge

Workers prepare tubes that will monitor the concrete in the new bridge between Lady's and Port Royal islands. According to job superintendent Tommy Worten, the tubes have electronic sensors that monitor voids and other air pockets in concrete. The cage is placed in a steel casing and filled with concrete — forming a new column for the bridge.
