Jameson's Charhouse opens in Sun City

Jameson's Charhouse opened June 5 in Sun City Hilton Head's Hidden Cypress clubhouse.

This restaurant marks the first time that the Illinois-based premier steakhouse opened its doors in the southeastern United States. Jameson's Charhouse operates seven restaurants in the Chicago suburbs, including one in Sun City Hilton Head's sister community, Sun City Huntley.

"We are very excited to be opening in Sun City Hilton Head. We believe that a truly memorable dining experience depends upon several other ingredients from the top food selections to the most dedicated people serving patrons," said John Kelm, managing partner. "We'll offer our signature steaks, chicken, seafood and pasta."

Jameson's Charhouse has received many accolades in its 18-year existence, including "Best Restaurant" from Martin Bartels, Pioneer Press; "Best Prime Rib" from Readers Choice Award - North Shore Magazine; "Best Steakhouse" from Readers Choice Award - Daily Herald; and "Business of the Year 2008" from Bloomingdale Chamber of Commerce.

"Sun City residents will absolutely enjoy what Jameson's Charhouse has to offer. It has all the features that residents asked for when we surveyed the community: quality restaurant with reasonable prices, catering, excellent bar service and carry-out options," said Damon Williams, Executive Director of Sun City Hilton Head. "We are excited to begin this new partnership, and I'd like to thank all of the residents, board members and staff who were involved selecting a new vendor for one of our community restaurants."

Jameson's Charhouse will operate in a 2,710 square-foot space in the Hidden Cypress clubhouse.
