Thank you, Sun City Chorus, for your uplifting spring concert "Cinemagic," featuring the songs of movies, especially "The Wizard of Oz," "Singin' in the Rain," "My Fair Lady" and "Star Wars.
This concert proved again the awesome talents of Sun City Hilton Head residents, whether in music, theater, etc., and the need for our residents to support each other's talents.
The concert also proved that the residents' shows need to be scheduled apart from the professional shows. It was was half-full, while "Hotel California," The Eagles Tribute Band show, sold out. Pulte charges $800 a day for Magnolia Hall for Sun City resident productions. Future resident music and theater shows might have to reduce the number of performances or have two shows a day, if not supported by our Sun City community as well as the professional shows are now supported.
