Hilton Head Hospital and Coastal Carolina Hospital will provide seasonal flu shots for the community starting in September. There is no cost for the seasonal flu shot for individuals with Medicare. Medicare recipients must bring a photo ID, such as a driver's license or state issued identification card, and their Medicare Card (Part B). The immunization is $25 for persons who do not have Medicare, payable in cash or check only. No insurances will be accepted or filed. Clinics will be held: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center, 40 Okatie Center Blvd, South, Okatie; and 9 a.m. to noon, Oct. 7, Hilton Head Hospital, Main Lobby, 25 Hospital Center Blvd., Hilton Head. Appointments are required; call 1-877-582-2737. At Coastal Carolina Hospital, flu shots are now being offered through its primary care clinic, Coastal Carolina Medical Associates, next to the hospital at 1010 Medical Center Drive, Ste. 240, in Hardeeville. No appointments are needed and walk-ins are accepted. The clinic is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For information, call 843-784-8293.
