Friends of the library to hold used book sale

Friends of the Beaufort County Library and the City of Beaufort will hold the 2011 annual Fall Book Sale from Friday through Sept. 25 under the pavilion at Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park.

The preview sale for members of Friends of the Library is from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. Sign up for membership to Friends of the Library for $10 for a single membership and $15 for families. The book sale will then open to non-members from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 25.

There will be a large selection of used books, paperbacks, DVDs, audio tapes available for all ages and a variety of interests. Money raised will be used to support unfunded programs, projects and materials needed by the Beaufort, St. Helena, and Lobeco libraries. Nonprofit organizations interested in taking all or a portion of unsold books from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 25 should call 843-812-3574.
