Volunteers in Medicine clinic offers screenings

Bluffton-Jasper County Volunteers In Medicine is scheduling screening and intake for primary medical care services. Prospective patients may call for screening appointments beginning in late September. Screening, by appointment only, is the first step in determining eligibility for services. Individuals and families without health insurance or who are underinsured may be eligible for free primary care medical services at the clinic. In addition, individuals must be a resident of or work in the Bluffton area and/or Jasper County. For a single individual, income cannot exceed $27,255 to be eligible. For a family of four, the maximum income is $55,875.
