The 2011 Auldbrass Plantation Tour in Yemassee will be held Nov. 5 and 6. Tickets are $85 a person and there will also be a picnic lunch available at Tomotley Plantation for $15 a person. Tickets go on sale Monday.
Although Frank Lloyd Wright designed more than 1,000 projects during his career, Auldbrass is the only plantation among them. Wright had a strong commitment to Auldbrass, and worked on it, off and on, for 20 years, from 1938 until his death in 1959.
On Nov. 5, the Land Trust will host Eric Lloyd Wright (the grandson of Frank Lloyd Wright) during a special lecture event at the University of South Carolina Beaufort Performing Arts Center. Tickets for the lecture are $50.
