The Wounded Warrior Foundation of the Lowcountry Golf Classic held May 23 raised $45,000, surpassing its fundraising target of $25,000. The event featured 144 golfers, 15 wounded warriors and many attendees at the silent and live auctions. Money raised will be used to provide support to wounded servicemen and women. Also at the event, a representative from the Professional Golfers Career College presented a scholarship worth $26,000 to Sgt. Zachary Pamer, one of the wounded warriors in attendance.
