Hilton Head prepares for Seafood Festival

The David M. Carmines Memorial Foundation will sponsor the fourth annual Hilton Head Island Seafood Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 30 at Shelter Cover Community Park on Hilton Head Island. More than a dozen restaurants will dish up their local and regional seafood specialties. There will also be an "Iron Chef" competition, local artists showcasing their talents, live entertainment and a silent auction. A kids zone will feature bounce houses and games. The Famous Crab Races will return this year. To participate in the Italian American Club's bocce tournament, email info@iachh.org.

Admission is $5 for adults; children 12 and younger get in free. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society, the M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center and the Island Recreation Scholarship Fund.
