Hope Haven seeks volunteer advocates

Hope Haven of the Lowcountry, the Rape Crisis and Children's Advocacy Center is accepting applications for volunteers and interns. Hope Haven volunteers serve as hospital advocates to child and adult survivors of sexual assault and are trained to answer crisis calls from the 24-hour hot line. Training will be Jan. 24, 26 and 28; and Feb. 1, 3 and 5. The weekday sessions will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and the Saturday session from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. All six sessions must be attended for volunteers to be fully trained. The location of the training will be announced at a later date. Pre-registration is required.
