Students at Riverview Charter School will serve a meal of soup and bread to guests for a donation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the school at 302 Burroughs Ave. in Beaufort. Guests will be served a modest portion of soup to represent what some less fortunate people might consider a feast. The ceramic soup bowls, made by students and local artists, can be purchased during a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit the Lowcountry Food Bank's childhood hunger program. Students helped with growing the vegetables used in the meal, marketing the event and making the soup.
