An 18-year-old Seabrook man was charged with burglary Friday after a canine unit tracked him from a home that had been robbed while a resident was sleeping.
When a construction crew building a dock behind the home at Garrett Lane in Seabrook arrived for work Friday morning, two suspects bolted from the home, said Capt. Bob Bromage of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Some of the crew members chased the suspects but couldn't catch them. Deputies arrived with a canine unit and tracked down one of them, Bromage said.
Quinton Delaney Jr., 18, was arrested about a half-mile away, Bromage said. Deputies recovered stolen items from the house -- electronics, video games and stereos -- along the way. Witnesses identified him as one of the two suspects, according to Bromage.
