Rescue crews were unable Saturday to find an unidentified man who jumped off the Broad River Bridge on Friday morning.
Officials and volunteers from the S.C. Department of Natural and Beaufort Water Search and Rescue combed the Broad River for hours Saturday after motorists reported seeing a white man in his mid-20s jump from the bridge's southbound lane at about 11:15 a.m. Friday.
As of Saturday night, Beaufort County Coroner Ed Allen said he had not been notified that the man's body had been found.
