Matt McClellan of St. Petersburg, Fla., is on a 1,300-mile mission, called Tour de Pizza, to let people know that pizza is healthy.

“Pizza, compared to any other fast food, is the healthiest out there," McClellan, 33, said in a press release. "It’s all about controlling the amount you eat and the specific toppings you choose. Naturally, it’s important to also include exercise in your daily regiment.”

He stopped at the Bluffton Boys & Girls Club on Tuesday afternoon and talked with the kids about nutrition, small portions and the importance of exercising. He lost 25 pounds in 30 days by eating only pizza.

He planned to eat at Bluffton’s Monster Pizza on his way out of the town. His next stop is Charleston.
