Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for a 17-year-old Bluffton man as one of three suspects in a robbery and assault earlier this month at a Bluffton apartment complex.

Dustin Anthony Rushing is wanted on charges of strong arm robbery and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature in connection with the May 8 robbery of a 31-year-old man.

The victim told deputies that he was walking through the complex parking lot about 2 a.m. when three men approached him and demanded money. The victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then took the victim’s cell phone, pushed him to the ground and began kicking him in the head. The suspects then ran toward the center of the apartment complex.

Rushing is a white, approximately 5-feet-9, 165 pounds with brown hair and brown blue eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his arms and one on his hand.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. J. Moran at 843-255-3422 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
