The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Bluffton and Hilton Head Island on Tuesday afternoon after radar detected a rotating cloud. The warning expired at 1:15 p.m. without any sign of a funnel cloud.
The area received about an inch of rain, according to the weather service. Skies will be at partly cloudy Wednesday and Thursdays, with highs in the low 80s.
