Two Savannah men and a Hilton Head Island woman were arrested Wednesday on charges that include trafficking marijuana after they were found with about 20 pounds of the drug, according to a news release Friday from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
Jamaine Andrew Tandy, 27, and Vincent James Robinson, 28, each face charges of trafficking marijuana, trafficking marijuana within a half-mile of a school and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to the release.
Tandy was released from the Beaufort County Detention Center on Thursday night on a $50,000 bond, according to the detention center log. Robinson was released Thursday night on a $50,237.50 bond, the log said.
Veronica Joy Amabile, 20, faces charges of trafficking marijuana, trafficking marijuana within a half-mile of a school, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, possession of a controlled substance and simple possession of marijuana, according to the release.Amabile remains in the detention center on a $70,570 bond, according to the log.

In addition to the marijuana, Beaufort-Jasper Multi Jurisdictional Drug Task Force officials seized three Xanax pills, $815 in cash, a .40-caliber pistol and drug paraphernalia, the release said.
Tandy and Robinson were arrested after investigators stopped the rental car they were driving on U.S. 278 near Pinckney Colony Road in Bluffton.
Investigators found about 20 pounds of marijuana in the car.
Amabile was arrested near the Shelter Cove Mall on Hilton Head after investigators smelled marijuana coming from the car, the release said.Amabile, Tandy and Robinson allegedly conspired to have the marijuana shipped to Hilton Head.
Additional arrests are expected.
