Bluffton woman arrested after threatening two men with a knife

A 46-year-old Bluffton woman was arrested Friday morning after she allegedly threatened her estranged husband and his friend with a knife and screwdriver, according to a Bluffton Police Department release Friday.

She was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center on charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and kidnapping, according to the release. Bond had not been set late Friday, according to the detention center log.Her estranged husband had minor cuts on his hands from protecting himself.

The woman apparently went to her estranged husband’s home just before 9 a.m. Friday to collect some items from him. After the two began to argue, the woman attempted to stab her husband with a knife and screwdriver.

She then threatened the man’s friend, who had been sitting in his car attempting to call 911.

The woman then drove away. Officers found her about 20 minutes later at her home in The Farm.
