The Greenery Garden Center, located at 960 William Hilton Parkway on Hilton Head Island, will offer several gardening seminars and workshops in August. Reservations are encouraged. Gardening 101: 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7 and 10. Carol Guedalia, horticulturist at The Greenery, will teach basic tips needed for proper garden planting and watering. Free.For Kids Only: 10:30 a.m. Aug. 14 and 17. Kids will tour The Greenery Garden Center, learn the basics of how to care for a garden and pot their own plant to take home. Milk and cookies will be provided. $5 per child.Succulents: 10:30 a.m. Aug. 21 and 24. Succulent plants are popular for their beauty and easy care. This group of diverse plants is typically classified by the thicker leaves and stems, which retain water and make them ideal for a patio or screened porch. Staff will discuss how to care for and create arrangements with these plants. Free. Ladies' Night: 6-8 p.m. Aug. 23. Ladies are invited to take part in a garden party. Tour The Greenery's Garden Center and Antique Shop while enjoying wine and appetizers along the way. Guests also will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on gardening workshop and pot their own plant. $30 a person.
