Commercial lawn and landscapeprofessionals making pesticideapplications in Category3 must have a valid commercialapplicator's license or be underthe direct supervision of a personso licensed.

All who are not in compliancewith this regulation are in violationof state law.

The Clemson Extension Officesof Beaufort and Jasper counties willpresent Core and Category 3 (turfand ornamentals) commercial pesticidelicense training Monday andTuesday.

The Core training will be Mondayfrom 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. andCategory 3 training will be Tuesdayfrom 8:30 a.m. until noon.Both trainings will take place atthe Beaufort County Extension Office,102 Industrial Village Road inBeaufort.

Cost is $100 a person, whichincludes training manuals, registrationfee, lunch Monday andrefreshments on both days. Forthose who already have manuals,cost is $60.

The purpose of the training is toprepare participants for the Coreand Category 3 Commercial PesticideLicense Exam. Pre-registrationis required.
