When baby arrives ahead of schedule, local woman turns to Bluffton Self Help for rent money

A woman with her newborn son came to Bluffton Self Help because she was worried she couldn't make her rent payment.

Her baby had arrived earlier than expected, cutting her work time by two weeks. She had been working two jobs and was on unpaid maternity leave. She needed some help until she could return to work.

Bluffton Self Help assisted with her rental payment and helped her apply for state and federal assistance, for which she was eligible.

Bluffton Self Help provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, sick and elderly.
