Bank of North Carolina, based in High Point, N.C., recently announced the planned purchase of Regent Bank in Greenville, S.C. The acquisition will, according to a news release, give Bank of North Carolina "a presence in the three fastest growing metro markets in the Carolinas: Greenville, Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina."
The Greenville branch will be the bank's seventh South Carolina location. It operates in South Carolina as BNC Bank and has two branches on Hilton Head Island and four in the Myrtle Beach area.
The Hilton Head Island branches are located at Pineland Station and The Village at Wexford.
