Photographer Jim Crotty, a new resident of Hilton Head Island from Dayton, Ohio, has opened a photography studio and gallery in the Village Exchange at 32 Palmetto Bay Road.
The 800-square-foot space was occupied by a hair salon.
Crotty's business focuses on fine-art print sales, portrait and assignment photography, and small-group workshops offering instruction on nature photography and digital editing.
He has been involved with photography since the late 1970s, studied communications and technical writing at both the University of Dayton and Westminster College of Salt Lake City and is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
