Local Krogers raise money for MDA

Bluffton and Hilton Head-area Kroger customers and associates helped raise more than $1,150 to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association in a months-long campaign, the grocer announced. In the annual fundraiser, which ran from Feb. 27 through March 26, Kroger encouraged customers and associates to buy $1 green shamrocks or $5 gold shamrocks to help MDA send young patients to summer camps and provide comprehensive health care, medical equipment and wheelchairs, support services, and clinics to people suffering from nearly 40 forms of neuromuscular diseases.
