Clemson Extension offers pesticide training

Re-certification training will be offered for commercial pesticide applicators Monday at the Lowcountry Council of Governments, 634 Camp Ground Road near Point South, Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service officials announced. The training will be about fire ant and mole cricket lawn management. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and training will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Commercial applicators must earn 10 credit hours by Dec. 31, 2013, in order to maintain a license. Applicators attending this training will receive five credit hours. The cost for the training is $50 and includes lunch.
