Bluffton High School and Hardeeville High School plowed ahead into uncharted territory for those young programs, Hilton Head Christian eked out a win over rival Hilton Head Prep to earn a shot at defending its SCISAA Class 2-A title, and Beaufort High School and Ridgeland High School saw their promising seasons come to an abrupt end.
It was certainly a bittersweet Friday night for area fans, but with three local teams still standing in the week before Thanksgiving, one of the most exciting football seasons in recent memory continues in the Lowcountry.
