When you dine out Tuesday, you can enjoy local restaurants and help a hungry family at the same time. United Way of the Lowcountry presents the second annual Dine Out for Hunger at 17 local eateries. Hunger is a top priority for the local chapter of the United Way. More than 2,800 men, women and children turned to the United Way's local pantries last year for help putting food on the table.

The following restaurants have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds Tuesday to the United Way's annual fundraising campaign. When you go out for a meal that day, choose one of the restaurants listed; tell your server you are dining out for hunger; and you'll be helping those in the community who have trouble getting nutritious food every day.
