For fundraiser help
The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina's seventh annual Tee Off Fore The Arts golf tournament at the Wexford Golf Club raised money for education and outreach programs. This past year, we provided 17,463 education services.
Our special thanks go to our golf tournament chairpersons, Heather and Bob Cherichella, for their unwavering support of the arts center, as well as Jeanne Garifallou.
Our title sponsor, Mortgage Network, deserves very special recognition for setting a standard for others in giving back to the community.

For fall herb sale aid
The Herb Society of Hilton Head Island thanks all involved for helping make our fall herb sale a success:
Roni Allbritton and The Mall at Shelter Cove for use of its center court and help with the tables and facilities; The Greenery and Amy Spadafora for the herb plants; the publications and TV and radio stations, which kindly announced the sale; and Herb Society members for preparing the herb products.
We especially thank our customers, who enthusiastically buy our products, enabling us to make donations to local charities. We look forward to seeing you again at our spring sale.

To tourney sponsors
Casey's Sports Bar & Grille and the Hilton Head Island Boys & Girls Club sincerely thank all the participants in the eighth annual Casey's Kick-off Classic Golf Tournament held Aug. 29.
As a result, more than $6,600 was raised for this very worthwhile cause. Add this to previous years' totals and more than $50,000 has been donated by this relatively small island event.
Despite the current economy, cooperation from our generous residents was once again overwhelming, including more than 50 restaurants, numerous golf courses and many other services and vendors who sponsored holes or contributed prizes for the drawing.
As always, Pearlstine Distributors refreshed the golfers with beverages, and U.S. Foods donated provisions for the luncheon. Thank you also to the many volunteers who arrived bright and early to help with registration, sell tickets and drive the beverage carts. Special thanks to B.B. Chapman, the director of this successful event.
And we can't forget to thank the golfers, our loyal locals and those who traveled from such places as North Augusta, Charleston, Ohio, New Jersey and even England. You always make it so much fun. Finally, thank God for moving the morning storms out of the area in time for tee-off and providing us with another beautiful day of sunshine.

For camp experience
Based on feedback we have received, our eighth annual TLC Youth Bereavement Day Camp was the most successful yet. We were pleased to host 20 children ages 6 to 15 at Sgt. Jasper Park.
Our day included exploration, sharing of feelings, a variety of healing activities and just plain fun. Each of these youngsters had experienced the death of a loved one and needed some extra support. Our staff was there to give it.
Thanks to the support of Hilton Head Island Celebrity Golf Tournament, there is never a fee to attend. Sgt. Jasper Park provided the facility; The Salty Dog T-shirt Factory provided T-shirts for campers; Unity Church provided each child with a stuffed animal; Monster Pizza provided lunch; and cake from The Sugaree was enjoyed.
We are also indebted to our dedicated volunteers, who never tire in supporting our services. We are grateful to all of the sponsors of this great event. Your support enables us to continue to provide a vital service to the grieving youth of our community.
On behalf of all of us at Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, thank you for a wonderful camp experience for these children. We look forward to another great camp next year.
