WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Drops: Learn 31 new languages, uses visual representations and clear pronunciation to promote word-picture association as the method for learning new vocabulary, rather than relying on translation. Kids can choose from 31 different languages and will be able to explore practical words across various topics, such as sports and fitness, business and tech, travel and vehicles, and food and drinks. Each word is introduced through a picture, in written form, and through audio; kids get to see it and hear it. Written solutions in English are available for additional support. The free content allows kids to play for five minutes and then an in-app purchase is necessary to unlock additional time. Drops: Learn 31 new languages engages kids in language learning through a variety of word games that require them to match words to pictures, spell words, or determine if a word-picture representation is true or false. Games are swipe- and tap-based and following instructions is intuitive. The milestone tracker shows kids their progress along the newcomer, novice, tourist, and conversationalist phases of language acquisition. They can also access a list of all the words they have learned.
