Hello, Polo! Annual charity event held in Bluffton

The Rotary Club of Okatie's 18th annual Polo For Charity will be held today in Rose Hill Plantation in Bluffton. The gates open at noon, and the match begins at 2 p.m. The event features picnics, tailgating, equestrian demonstrations, a local art display, the Bluffton High School Junior ROTC color guard and a polo match. Spectators will be able to go out on the field at the half of the polo match to stomp divots.

Tickets cost $15 a person; children younger than 12 are admitted free. Money raised will go toward University of South Carolina Beaufort scholarships, Okatie Rotary Club scholarships, the Pritchardville Elementary School literacy project and other charitable efforts. The Bluffton High School Interact Club will be collecting canned goods for Bluffton Self Help.
