Art League of Hilton Head announces awards for Biennale National Juried Art Exhibition

The Art League of Hilton Head recently announced the winners of its inaugural 2011 Biennale National Juried Art Exhibition.

Artwork was judged by award-winning watercolorist Linda Baker. The exhibition features 95 works selected from 600 entries from 30 states. Baker said she was looking for a solid composition or "bone structure" of a piece, the color values and a creative surprise to captivate the viewer's eye.

The exhibition in the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina's Walter Greer Gallery runs through May 29. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday; noon to 4 p.m. Sunday; and before performances at the arts center. Details: 843-681-5060, www.artleaguehhi.org
