June Nintendo Direct Officially Announced: How, When, Where to Watch
The summer of showcases, events, and live streams will officially continue, as Nintendo has now confirmed the long-rumored June Nintendo Direct is indeed happening. Here is everything you need to know, as well as what could be shown.
Announced via Nintendo of America's official social media accounts, the Nintendo Direct show will be tomorrow, June 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT. The show will be followed by a Nintendo Treehouse: Live show, too.
The Nintendo Direct and Treehouse: Live will be streamed live on YouTube on the same channel and live stream.
The Direct is estimated to last around 50 minutes, according to Nintendo's announcement, while the Nintendo Treehouse Live will last around 95 minutes.
There was no specific wording used to describe this showcase, so it is widely assumed this is a "general" Nintendo Direct and not a partner showcase or about just one specific game.
For what could be shown, given all of the other major events and shows from other developers and publishers this past weekend, it seems like most of the titles Nintendo may show are likely first-party titles. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave was announced quite a while ago, and is still slated for a summer 2026 release, so it seems very likely that the game will be shown.
It is also likely Nintendo will show other 2026-slated games that have been announced previously, like FromSoftware's The Duskbloods. A recent leak from reputable leaker NatetheHate suggests that fans may have a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to look forward to this holiday season, so this Direct may be the perfect place to announce it.
The Nintendo Treehouse: Live afterwards will likely show live gameplay of some of the titles revealed or shown at the Direct.
No matter what is revealed, tomorrow is sure to be yet another busy day in the annual season of summer video game announcements.
