Terry and Len Camarda celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 13, 2014.
The couple first crossed paths at Bushwick High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., but didn’t start dating until a few years later when Terry was working in New York City at a travel agency and Len was attending St. John’s University.
After dating for five years, they were married on June 13, 1964, in St. Barbara’s Church in Brooklyn. They couldn’t start their honeymoon right away, though, because one of them wouldn’t fly. So their trip to Florida began with 27 hour train ride.
Len went on to a prosperous international career in pharmaceuticals while Terry held down the fort at home —whether home was in New Jersey, Panama, Holland or Spain.
