Allison Elizabeth Collins and Benjamin Terrell Coppage were married Saturday, June 18, 2011. at the Parish Church of St. Helena in Beaufort. The six o’clock wedding ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Jeffrey Miller. A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bradford Scott Collins of Beaufort, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buford Duke IV of Kingsport, Tenn., and Mrs. Margaret Sue Collins and the late Earnest Swindell Collins of Beaufort. The bride received a B.A. degree in Communication Studies and a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She completed her Juris Doctorate at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Daniel Coppage of Manor, Georgia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Terrell Coppage and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Inman all of Waycross, Ga. The groom received a B.S. in Business Management form Clemson University and his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father. She wore The Bride’s wedding gown was a White exclusive design. The ivory silk shantung gown featured an Alencon lace empire bodice and cap sleeves. The back has covered buttons to the hem of the Chapel length train. A cathedral Alencon lace edged veil accompanied the dress.

Miss Catherine Duke Collins and Miss Emily Lauren Collins, sisters of the bride, served as maids of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Caroline Webb Wreden of Beaufort, Mrs. Caroline Brown Rhodes of Columbia, Miss Katherine Melanie Tanner of Charleston, Mrs. Kathrine Vinoski Bertoldi of Tallahassee, Fla., Miss Elizabeth Jordan Allen of Charlotte, N.C., Miss Erin Elizabeth Logan of Atlanta, Ga., and Miss Camden Austin Elliott of Washington D.C., all friends of the bride. Honorary bridesmaids were Miss Hannah Elizabeth Marcum, Miss Hollly Lynn Tumlin, and Miss Anne Marie Tumlin cousins of the bride and Miss Nora Elizabeth Wallace of San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Rosemary Blackburn Sears of Chicago, Ill., friends of the bride.
Mr. Leon Daniel Coppage served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Bradford Scott Collins, Jr., brother of the bride, Mr. Patrick Tang and Mr. Daniel Patrick Moore of Atlanta, Mr. Lucas Bartlett Gaines of Columbia, Mr. Todd Joseph Miller of Greenville, Mr. Erle Jackson Newton of Monroe, Ga., Mr. Edward Lawrence Feazel of Ft. Worth, Texas, Mr. Marcus Cayce Myers of Covington, Ga., and Mr. Michael Allen Newell of Gaffney, all friends of the groom. Serving as ushers were Mr. Matthew Duke Tumlin and Mr. Colton Nathaniel Marcum, cousins of the bride and Mr. Christopher Joel Carter, Mr. Jonathan Barrett Carter, and Mr. William Travis Carter, cousins of the groom.
The flower girl was Miss Morgan Alexandra Macdonald and the ring bearer was Mr. Jacob Penn Macdonald, cousins of the groom from Leesburg, Va.
After completing the South Carolina Bar Examination in July, the couple will honeymoon in St. Lucia.
