ANNUAL HILTON HEAD ISLAND CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENTCome out and get autographs Sept. 2 - 4 at this fun tournament that benefits local children's charities. No admission charge. The event matches amateurs and celebrities from sports, TV, film, music and comedy. FREE GOLF CLINICS

  • Complimentary golf clinic with PGA head teaching professional every Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Harbour Town Golf Links in Sea Pines. Details: 843-363-8385.
  • On Mondays at 4 p.m., Doug Weaver conducts a free, 45-minute golf clinic and demonstration entitled "Where Does the Power Come From?" at the Jones Golf Center in Palmetto Dunes. MELROSE HAS REOPENEDAfter being closed for bankruptcy, the gorgeous Melrose golf course on Daufuskie Island has reopened and has new owners. The clubhouse is still closed, but a pro shop is open near the cart barn, with snacks available.
