"He really knows fusion," Mark said.To showcase this creativity, BistroMezzaluna offers a "chef's table" fromWednesday to Saturday, for two totwenty people. Chef Khal will preparea custom three to five course meal,which can be tailored for diners withdietary or religious restrictions, as wellas health inspired. A sample menu for achef's table could included a diver scallopover a cheese ravioli with a sundriedtomato, garlic and basil sauce, a roasted lollipopNew Zealand lamb chop over rissoto with cranberryand pine nuts, or seared foie gras (delicategoose liver) over Yukon gold blinis.
In addition to Bistro Mezzaluna's regular menu,some of the nightly specials created by ChefKhal include a savory colossal shrimp appetizer,mile high lasagna with veal and sausage, searedrack of lamb with a pesto rub over rissoto,braised short ribs, and an oven-roasted 16-oz.veal chop with a portobello mushroom demiglaze.
