Louise Miller Cohen will speak about life on Hilton Head Island before a bridge was built in 1956 at the annual meeting of the Friends of the Bluffton Library on Nov. 7
Her presentation will be at 2 p.m. in the community room of the library, where she will also speak of her plans to establish a Gullah museum on Hilton Head. For the past 10 years, Cohen has served as a Gullah storyteller and a "keeper of the Gullah traditions." She tells trickster tales, sings Gullah songs and shares her knowledge of Gullah life.
