All Beaufort County convenience centers are now open, according to a county news release.
The centers are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on normal operating schedules. All centers are closed on Wednesdays.
Centers will accept only bagged, household garbage. Residents should not bring storm-generated yard or construction debris. Yard (Class 1) and construction debris (Class 2) from the storm should be sorted into separate piles and left at the curb. Do not block fire hydrants, stormwater ditches, or utility boxes.
- Class 1 debris includes tree limbs, leaves and tree logs cut into sections.
- Class 2 debris includes building materials, drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture, mattresses, and plumbing items.

The centers will begin accepting limited amounts of non-storm generated construction debris and recyclables starting Thursday, October 20, 2016. No trailers or large loads will be accepted.
