St. Helena Island native Candice Glover will perform in the Top 6 tonight on "American Idol," which airs on Fox from 8 to 10 p.m.
Each contestant will perform two songs, and there will be two themes. The first song will be from the Burt Bacharach and Hal David songbook.
The theme for the second song is "Songs I wish I'd written." In an interview in February, Glover listed Jazmine Sullivan, Kim Burrell and Christina Aguilera as a few of her musical influences.
This week, Glover has given a few hints via Twitter about her song choices for Wednesday.

On Monday, a fan asked Glover what kind of music she will sing Wednesday, to which Glover tweeted, "some R&B, jazz, soul, old school, etc."
Judge Mariah Carey has said the last couple of weeks she is waiting for a certain special thing from Glover, a secret the two share. After last week's performance, Carey told Glover, "You and I both know what I am waiting for, so America, please vote for Candice so I can get my song that I'm waiting to hear."
Glover tweeted on Monday, "Finally giving MC what she wants."
Voting opens at the end of the show. Glover will find out Thursday if she advances to the Top 5 during the results show, which airs from 8 to 9 p.m. on Fox.
