Watch: Red is HK, has a sister in 'Descendants: Wicked Wonderland'

June 8 (UPI) --Disney is giving a glimpse of the new film Descendants: Wicked Wonderland.

The studio shared a teaser trailer for the movie Monday featuring Kylie Cantrall as Red, the daughter of Alice in Wonderland's Queen of Hearts, and Malia Baker as Chloe, the daughter of Cinderella's Cinderella and Prince Charming.

The Descendants musical fantasy franchise follows the children of famous Disney heroes and villains.

Wicked Wonderland opens after the events of Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024), in which Red and Chloe traveled back in time to stop the Queen of Hearts from becoming a villain.

The trailer shows Red and Chloe discover there "are consequences when you alter the fabric of time," such as Red's friend and tutor Maddox Hatter (Leonardo Nam) now going rogue.

Other, more light-hearted changes include Red now being an "HK," or hero kid, and having a sister named Pink (Liamani Segura).

Melanie Paxon, Brandy, Paolo Montalban and Rita Ora also return to star.

Descendants: Wicked Wonderland premieres July 16 on the Disney Channel and will start streaming on Disney+ the next day.
