MEMORY LINKS ALZHEIMER'S BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT: When: 9 a.m., June 7; Where: Ocean Creek Course, Fripp Island; Format: Four man-Captain's choice; Cost: $85. Notes: Fee includes cart, beverages, goody bag, lunch. There will be a putting contest, a longest drive competition, closest to the pin, team prizes and a hole-in-one contest. BEFORE-SCHOOL AND AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS: When: Monday through Friday (regularly scheduled public school days); Where: Hilton Head Island Recreation Center; Notes: Programs combine play with academics. Children in the afterschool program receive homework assistance. Programs focus on youth development, academic success, friendship and character-building. Before-school program children will be walked over to school. There is a registration fee of $30 per child or $50 per family each year. Completed registration forms must be turned in to Rec Center before your child can attend the program. Financial assistance is available to those in need.
