PUBLIX LOWCOUNTRY ROOTS ROCK & REGGAE RUN: What: Inaugural 5K, 10K and 15K races; When: 5 p.m., May 11; Where: Hilton Head Lakes, Hardeeville; Cost: 5K and 10K are $30; 15K race is $45; Notes: A percentage of proceeds from the event will benefit Palmetto Animal League and another local charity. The 5K Roots Run starts at 5 p.m. and the 10K Rock Run starts at 6 p.m. The 15K Reggae Run will be a combined time of the 5K and 10K. Participants running the 15K receive a tie dye and a tech T-shirt. All other runners receive a tech T-shirt. After the races, an awards ceremony and Sunsplash Party will be held in honor of Bob Marley.
