The Hilton Head Rugby Club dropped to 0-2 on the season Saturday at Crossings Park, losing 20-19 to the Golden Isles Hammerheads of Brunswick, Ga.
The Gators lost a close one in their season-opener last weekend at Savannah and it was more of the same Saturday, as their comeback attempt fell just short once again.
Bryan Coker scored the lone try for Hilton Head, while Neil Turner's conversion and penalty kicks accounted for the rest of the team's points.
Garrett Lepak was selected as Hilton Head's man of match, with Jim Brown and Chris Farley also drawing consideration.
The Gators will try to put one in the win column next weekend with a home match against Macon at Crossings Park. The time and day have yet to be determined.
